How CERTIFICATE COURSES work

EMS: Earn CE Contact Hours
by Watching Videos

We are very pleased to announce that the Certificate Courses are now accredited by the Continuing Education Coordinating Board for Emergency Medical Services (CECBEMS). ECG Academy Level 1 program is approved for 12 contact hours of continuing education, and the combined Level 1+2 are approved for total of 20 contact hours.

How Do The Certificate Courses Work?

By incorporating ECG Academy's unique video tutorials into an educational framework, we are now able to track each participant's progress. The Sections in the Level 1 (Advanced Rhythm Strip Analysis) and Level 2 (12-lead Interpretation) courses each have 3-5 videos, each 5-15 minutes long, that cover a particular topic. At the end of each section there is a short quiz to reinforce the information and to measure your proficiency. There is a newly-added section with a collection of "Essential ChalkTalks" at the end of each level, to help you practice analyzing unknown tracings. At the end of each Level of the course there is a final exam. Completion of the entire program qualifies the participant to receive a "Certificate of Completion," with CE contact hours as noted above. When you enroll in a Certificate Course, you'll also have access to a library of ECG Academy's ChalkTalks, which are invaluable to help you tackle more difficult tracings. To purchase the course, click the button at right and choose one of the Certificate Courses (Level 1 or Level 1+2). Please note: It generally takes up to 24 hours to get you enrolled -- during that time you can let us know that you need EMS CEUs. We will keep your information on file for CECBEMS reporting requirements.

What Are Paramedics Saying About ECG Academy...

I just finished all the basic lectures and am very happy with them. They are very professional, easy to understand, and fact-filled. I absolutely can't wait till you get the advanced level produced!

I just wanted to drop a quick note to tell you that for ages I have been looking for lessons like yours. I’m telling my ex-EMT instructor to suggest your website to his future students (and past..)!

Which Plan To Choose?

  • If you need CE Contact Hours or a "Certificate of Completion," choose a Certificate Course
  • If you want the challenge and feedback of quizzes and a final exam along the way, choose a Certificate Course
  • If you don't need a "formal" course but just want to learn to read ECGs by watching videos, choose a monthly membership (or save money with an annual membership plan)
  • If you just need to know cardiac rhythm strips and arrhythmias, choose Level 1 course or the Basic membership plan
  • If you need to be able to read 12-lead ECGs, choose a Level 1+2 course or the Intermediate membership plan
  • If you already know how to read ECGs but want to delve deeper into the nuances of arrhythmias and electrophysiology, choose the Advanced membership plan
  • If you already know how to read ECGs but need practice dealing with complex or "tricky" tracings, choose the "ChalkTalks Only" plan. You can always upgrade to the Advanced plan for additional insight
